Nancy E. Pfund is Founder and Managing Partner of DBL Partners (formerly Investors), a venture capital firm whose goal is to combine top-tier financial returns with meaningful social, economic and environmental returns in the regions and sectors in which it invests. Ms. Pfund currently sponsors or sits on the board of directors of several companies, including; SolarCity (NASDAQ: SCTY), Primus Power, Powergenix, Farmers Business Network, The Muse and Off-Grid Electric, and, prior to their public offerings, Tesla Motors and Pandora Media. Prior to founding DBL, Ms. Pfund was a Managing Director in Venture Capital at JPMorgan, having started her investment career at Hambrecht & Quist in 1984.
Lyndon Rive, Solarcity CEO
Lyndon Rive is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SolarCity. He has grown the company from two to more than 12,000 employees and helped it become one of the most recognizable brands in clean energy in nine years. Lyndon has led the company's efforts to raise funds sufficient to finance more than $8 billion in solar projects from a range of investors, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Google, PG&E Corporation and U.S. Bancorp. He has also helped the company enter a range of new markets to serve more than 400 schools and universities, more than 100 regional and national homebuilders, and major organizations including eBay, Intel, Walmart and the U.S. Military.
Prior to SolarCity, Lyndon co-founded Everdream, an industry leader in software and services for large-scale, distributed computer management. Lyndon negotiated the company's partnership with Dell Computer, which acquired Everdream in 2007. A lifelong entrepreneur, Lyndon founded his first company at the age of 17, and in his spare time has been a member of the U.S. National Underwater Hockey Team.
Steve Hall, Vulcan Capital Managing Director
Steve Hall is Managing Director at Vulcan Capital where he heads up Vulcan’s venture capital investment efforts. His investment areas include Internet services, data intelligence, alternative energy, mobile networks, and semiconductors. Mr. Hall received his double BA in business administration and political science from Furman University and JD from Columbia University Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
